The autobahn represents the ultimate driving experience in Germany. This network of superhighway includes an outstanding structure, courteous drivers, and some sections contain no speed limits! The original autobahn was constructed in Berlin between the years 1913 and 1921. Since then, several new sections have been added, and various sections combined. Today, the autobahn’s superhighway system has become the third largest in the entire world, after the United States’ and China’s. Nevertheless, if you want to prevent neighborhood speeding where you live, several steps can be taken, such as posting of Child Safety Signs, to improve neighborhood safety.
 
Vehicle speeding can create neighborhood safety problems for any pedestrians, bicyclers or other motorists in a neighborhood. However, it can become particularly hazardous to children. Due to their short stature, motorists have difficulty spotting children if they dart across the street.

Speed bumps are an alternative to police surveillance of an area where neighborhood speeding remains a problem. Other advantages are that the speed bumps may reduce the “cut-through” traffic in the area, and unlike police enforcement, the service remains consistent. However, it should be noted that speed bumps possess some drawbacks. Also, a petition is usually required to have them installed, in order to show that the neighborhood collectively supports them. 
Few motorists would drive through residential areas at maximum speeds posted along German’s autobahn. Nonetheless, speeders have a negative impact on neighborhood safety, and should therefore be forced to put on the brakes.
